About this item
- No Wood Backing Required: The Prest-On Insta-back fastener allows you to remove and reattach any size piece of gypsum board quickly and easily. Simply attach the fasteners to the edge of the existing board to create a rock-solid backup surface for your replacement piece
- Bump-free Butt Joints: The Insta-back lets you back-block wallboard four-foot edge to four-foot edge, creating finished butt joints with no ridges or crowns. A patented lance design provides a 1 to 2-degree taper for a flawless finish
- Smart Break-away Design: Once your replacement drywall is securely screwed into the Insta-back fasteners, the exposed, scored tabs easily snap off so no metal is left protruding. The 1/2 inch Insta-back can even be used with 5/8 inch drywall by simply adjusting these tabs
- Proven Structural Integrity: Unlike other backup fasteners, Prest-On clips comply with ICC ESR-1812. They are Fire Resistance Rated, possess shear structural value, meet wind and seismic force values ASTM E72-80, and are approved for use with steel studs. Proudly made in the USA
- Contractor 200-Pack: Designed for professionals and large-scale DIYers, this bulk 200-pack provides incredible value. Reduce scrap, minimize time-consuming measuring and cutting, and speed up your installation and repair processes
- Versatile Installation Options: These fasteners work effectively on both wall and ceiling installations between trusses, and are approved for application with both wood and steel studs for residential, commercial, and multi-housing construction projects
- Fire Resistance Tested: Warnock Hersey tested for 1-hour and 2-hour walls and ceilings, meeting model code requirements and providing reliable performance in fire-rated assemblies for enhanced building safety compliance
